Across the river, Argenta â€" the central business district of North Little Rock â€" is emerging as a vibrant, thriving center for shopping, dining, business activity and entertainment. Recent improvements to the area include decorative sidewalks, replica early 20th-century streetlights, a repaved Main Street, and new landscaping and underground utility lines. This historic area is home to Verizon Arena, Dickey-Stephens Park â€" home of the Arkansas Travelers â€" and many new restaurants, art galleries and shops.

North Little Rock boasts a variety of charming and affordable neighborhoods, beautiful lakes, outstanding parks and recreational facilities, and many entertainment facilities, shops and restaurants that flourish throughout the city. The city’s Old Mill, a historic re-creation of an 1880s water-powered gristmill, was featured in the opening scenes of David O. Selznick’s 1937 movie classic “Gone with the Wind.” One of the largest municipal parks in the country, Burns Park features a tennis center, a family amusement park, a state-of-the-art soccer complex and two 18-hole golf courses.
