The forested rolling hills and cliffs that rise above the Arkansas River make for plenty of recreational opportunities throughout central Arkansas. Golfers will enjoy beautiful scenery at any of the area’s numerous courses, while the nature-enshrouded Arkansas River Trail lends itself to all kinds of outdoor activity. Of course, it’s also easy to just sit back, relax and be a spectator. College basketball, minor league baseball and occasionally college football are all played here. In fact, North Little Rock boasts one of the best minor league baseball parks in the country—Dickey-Stephens Park.
