North Little Rock: A Different Viewpoint

Across the river, Argenta – the central business district of North Little Rock – is emerging as a vibrant, thriving center for shopping, dining, business activity, entertainment and the arts. Recent improvements to the area include decorative sidewalks, replica early 20th-century streetlights, a repaved Main Street, new landscaping and underground utility lines. The historic area also features Verizon Arena and Dickey-Stephens Park—the home field for the Arkansas Travelers, a minor league baseball team.
North Little Rock boasts a variety of charming and affordable neighborhoods, beautiful lakes, outstanding parks and recreational facilities and many entertainment venues.
The city is also home to the Old Mill, a historic recreation of an 1880s water-powered gristmill that was featured in the opening scenes of David O. Selznick’s 1937 movie classic “Gone With the Wind.”
One of the largest municipal parks in the country, Burns Park features a tennis center, a family amusement park, a state-of-the-art soccer complex and two 18-hole golf courses.
