Make a Splash at Wild River Country
Looking for something fun – and refreshing – to do outdoors? Cool your heels (and a whole lot more) at Arkansas’ largest water park, Wild River Country.
Located just off Interstate 430 in North Little Rock, the sprawling water park features slides, a wave pool, tube rides, a kids’ area, a lazy river and much more.
A few of the main attractions include Cyclone, a four-person raft ride down a swiftly moving water slide; Pipeline, a 600-foot winding tube ride that can accommodate one, two or three riders at once; and Black Lightning and White Lightning, a pair of body or single tube rides that snake through a series of covered and uncovered tunnels before zooming riders into a shallow pool.
For the less adventurous, or those just seeking pure relaxation, there’s the Lazy River and our personal favorite, the Wave Pool. There’s even a Tad Pool play area for toddlers!
Wild River Country also has a gift shop, lockers to safely store your stuff, a grill and snack and hydration bars.
The season begins in May and runs through Labor Day weekend. Tickets are $32.99 for adults and $23.09 for children age 12 and under (age 2 and under are free). Discounted tickets are available after 3 p.m. Open 10 a.m.–8 p.m. Mon–Sat, noon–8 p.m. Sun.
